CS2 Crosshair Generator

Design your CS2 crosshair with a live preview, copy pro crosshairs from top players, and get a share code that imports in game.

How to use the CS2 crosshair generator

  1. Pick a starting point, or paste a crosshair code you already have and press Load.
  2. Change the style, length, thickness, gap, colour and outline. The preview updates as you go.
  3. Press Copy next to your crosshair code.
  4. In CS2, open Settings, go to the crosshair tab, choose Share or Import and paste the code.

You can also open Console commands and paste the whole line into the developer console instead.

How CS2 crosshair settings work after the 2026 update

Valve reworked crosshairs in September 2026. Length, thickness and gap are now whole pixels instead of the old abstract scale, and CS2 rescales them to your resolution. Several commands were renamed at the same time:

Old command New command
cl_crosshairsize cl_crosshair_length
cl_crosshairgap cl_crosshair_gap
cl_crosshairthickness cl_crosshair_thickness
cl_crosshairalpha cl_crosshaircolor_a

Outlines now have three modes (none, full, or half on the top and left edges) and their own colour and opacity.

What each setting does

  • Length: how long each line is, in pixels.
  • Thickness: how wide each line is. It also sets the size of the centre dot.
  • Gap: the space between the centre and each line. 0 closes the cross. Negative gaps only work with Dynamic Cross (Legacy).
  • T-style: removes the top line.
  • Outline: a border that keeps the crosshair visible on bright or busy backgrounds.
  • Dynamic settings: control how the dynamic styles open up and split while you move and shoot.

Tips for choosing a crosshair

  • Pick a colour that stands out on every map. Cyan, yellow and green are common choices for this.
  • A small static cross with a gap of 0 to 2 pixels keeps your eye on the target without hiding it.
  • Turn the outline on if your crosshair disappears against sky or bright walls.
  • Test it in a practice match or offline server with bots before you play ranked.

Pro crosshairs

The pro crosshairs under the generator are built from each player's settings on prosettings.net, using the date shown on each card. All of them use the Static Cross style, sized for a 1080-pixel screen height. Press Customize on any card to load it into the generator, then change it however you like.

Pros change their settings often, sometimes between matches. Treat these as a starting point, and check the player's own channels if you want their crosshair from a specific match.

Frequently asked questions

How do I import a crosshair code in CS2?

Copy the code from the generator, then in CS2 open Settings, go to the crosshair tab, choose Share or Import and paste it. You can also paste the full line from Console commands into the developer console instead.

Why does my old CS2 crosshair code say it is invalid?

CS2 changed the crosshair code format on September 30, 2026: current codes start with CS and have no dashes, and codes in the older CSGO-xxxxx format no longer import. Codes made between September 22 and 29 already use pixel sizes, so this tool converts them. Paste one into the import box to get a new code.

Can I convert an old CS:GO crosshair code?

Not exactly. CS:GO-era codes use the old size scale, which does not map one-to-one to pixels. Rebuild the crosshair here by eye instead, using the preview.

What crosshair do CS2 pros use?

The pro crosshairs under the generator include players such as donk, ZywOo, m0NESY and NiKo, built from their settings on prosettings.net. All of them use the Static Cross style, sized for a 1080-pixel screen height. Pros change settings often, so treat them as a starting point and press Customize to adjust one.

What is the best crosshair color in CS2?

There's no single best color, but it should stand out on every map. Cyan, yellow and green are common choices, and turning on the outline helps if your crosshair disappears against sky or bright walls.

Why does the preview not show some styles?

The circle, quad and square styles are new, and their exact shapes are not documented yet. The code and console commands for those styles are still correct, so import the code and check the look in game.

Will my crosshair look the same on another monitor?

It keeps the same proportions, because CS2 scales the pixel sizes from the screen height the crosshair was made for to your own resolution. Use the Your screen setting under the preview to see it at different resolutions.
